I ordered two of these apothecary drawer units to organize and store small office supplies like paper clips and transparent tape. These apothecary drawers arrived fully intact and working well! I've had no problems with the drawers opening or closing, and only one drawer had a tiny bit of damage as shown in the pictures. They feel sturdy enough for my purposes.I'm very happy with this purchase! Is it made out of mahogany? No. I think mahogany just refers to the color. As other reviewers noted, the wood is soft. But that makes it lightweight. I'm not complaining. And I'm so glad I finally got my office supplies organized in a way that gives me more space and looks charming!

But as a present for the wife, bought him because it's made of some sort of real wood and although it looks like it's a little bit smaller than what a real card catalog would be, she's using it for a jewelry box, but she's a book/ Library nut and this was a perfect gift. It looks great and it is built really nice too

This was purchased as a gift for a reading buff. It is reminiscent of the old library card drawers. It’s a little light, but a pretty piece. It is a smaller version of the actual drawers, but will look so cute sitting on a table or dresser. I love it.

Cheaply made. Feels like balsa wood. Drawers leave gaps/ fit into the “dresser”. One will be tilted to the right and another to the left. There are other items out there similar to this… buy them instead!!

This wood desktop vintage card catalog style drawers come fully assembled. The wood is beautiful and the teal color is just stunning. The wood cabinet is finished nice and smooth with no rough edges. It has six spacious drawers for bits and bobs that tend to clutter up desks. Each drawer glides smoothly and has a card catalog style drawer pull attached. It has some heft to it so it is very solid. Once I found where I wanted to display this piece it sits firmly in place with no rocking. It is very attractive! I plan on stowing extra batteries in this cabinet that way they will be all in one place. I could not be more pleased with the look of this cabinet and the color is just the perfect teal!
