The cables have a nylon braid and are on the thin side. The advantage of this is that they are quite flexible, the disadvantage is that they may be less robust. That said, the cable strain relief is welded to the cable which should help, it does however make repair impossible should it ever be needed, other than fitting a new plug. The cables test out OK, but are towards the budget end of the market, making the 10m cables quite cost effective. I however opted for the 3m cables, as there is nothing worse than using cables that are much longer than necessary and creating a rat's nest at the stage box.

This two pack of XLR cords seem to be working great. They’re a bit thinner than typical XLR cables, but no noticeable audio difference. In fact, it might be a little more helpful to make it less bulky. They work great for us!

I have the 25 foot version of these cables. The connectors are very nice. The plastic strain relief is excellent. It's stiff enough to support the cable into the metal part of the connector, but gives as it goes to the cable to prevent a kink point there as well. The cable itself is braided nylon, 3/16" in diameter. This is somewhat thin but with the braided cover allows the cable to be very flexible. I guess because of this, the cable has very memory and lays flat easily. It also wraps up very nicely. One small feature that I like is the attached velcro-type tie; I hate searching for string or ties to secure the cable. The connectors seem very good but there doesn't seem to be any way to disassemble them. This is great if you never need to repair them. They do feel solid enough that they will be unlikely to need repairs.I am very happy with them.

Great XLR cables and a great length.Used this to connect my speakers to mixer and there was plenty of length left. The cables are good quality and don’t tangle easily and come with a nice Velcro tidy in them to keep them together.Connections are sound and I would definitely recommend and buy again!

Hubby needed to replace a cable that he uses for gigs. He normally buys from the musicians supply stores. We thought we’d try this one, because the others were more than twice as expensive. He played two back to back gigs this weekend and reported that this cable performed well. It lays flat on the stage, and tapes down flat. The sound is quieter with less interference. He’s very happy with the cable length as well, since he doesn’t have to connect two cables together to do the job. Great value.

I got these for use with home recording and with my band. I tried them at a recent band rehearsal and they worked flawlessly. I also tested both out with a cable tester and couldn't make them break connection. Solid! These are really good cables. They are well made and have a nice fabric sheath on the outside. I generally prefer the traditional rubber kind, but they're fine. Each cable includes a hook-and-loop (velcro style) loop for keeping the cable organized when not in use.At time of purchase these were US$21.99 for the pair of 25 foot (7.6m) xlr microphone cables. This is a few dollars lower than other similar cables (usually around US$27). This is a nice value.

I can't believe how thin and light weight the cables. This is by far the thinest XLR cable I have seen however it works very well, I don't have any issues such as noise or interference. Otherwise for the price you paid, this is a good deal

Got these to use for a couple mics for our team at church. When I got them, I was a little worried as these are pretty thin, but that has ended up being a positive for these cables. While thin, the sound is excellent. There's no discernible difference in sound between these and more expensive cables, which is a good thing. And it's relative thin, they're quite flexible and can be laid out in any position needed. I'm really happy with these.

I never quite sure about braided cables firstly they don’t coil very easily and secondly they don’t lie on the floor very easily unlike rubber based cables. However this cable has a soft braid than most and flexes quite nicely. It’s oddly thinner than most cables which is just a lower quality conductor inside the cable but having used these now for microphones the sound quality seems absolutely fine.Connectors seem sturdy enough and oddly they look like plastic but appear to be a thin alloy of some sort but they do connect firmly and securely.Perhaps not premium cables but perfectly suitable for most uses.

I dunno about these. The cable is MIGHTY thin. I'd rather spend 2x the price and get 4x (at least) the life. But I could be wrong. Then there's the appearances thing. With thes skinny wires are sort of wonky looking next to a mic stand, to me, they look unprofessional ... sometimes you need to project professional. They do lay OK if you massage them a little. I feel like they would be good in like a podcast mic arm when they can be concealed. For a home studio and you're going to be gentle with them and not walk on the cables and don't care how they look, definitely go for it. They work and sound fine. Alan Parsons scoffs at spending a lot of $$ on wires. But if you have to repair these, good luck. Not worth the effort and just throw them away.I'm going to actually take a chance on ruining them since it's a vine review and see if they can hold up to the abuse. More later...

While there is no substitute for low-resistance, shielded professional audio cables, these are more than adequate for everyday use and are good value. The slim, braided finish is soft and flexible, making them easier to run than some rubber types. The moulded XLR connectors seem of decent quality, providing a quiet, clear signal. You can prolong the life of these types of cables by avoiding excessive twisting when winding them up for storage.

I like these cables. The cloth covering has a nice feel to it and the strain relief at the plug and sockets feels nice and strong. The plugs are of good quality but they are fixed/sealed so cannot be dismantled in the event that a repair is needed.Bearing in mind the thickness of the cable I feel that these would be better suited to solo or duo performers rather than a rock style band where they're going to get trodden on all the time. Look after them and they should last years.I like the velcro securing tab, great to just be able to keep the cable rolled up without having to find some string, or do what I do, make velcro tabs specially for the purpose. All in all a couple of good XlR cables which will find plenty of use for my future gigs.
