Ordered my light and received it the very next day! It's a solid, durable light. I am a coyote hunter, so I really enjoy the IR feature. The laser is also nice and bright. The light has some weight to it and feel quality. I would recommend.

I am very critical of gun hardware and am cautious when buying from non-big name manufacturers (Aimpoint, Trijicon, Eotech, Sig Sauer, etc.). I am always prepared to send something back if I am not confident in my purchase (great advantage of buying through Amazon, this is easy). The unit arrived unopened and well packaged. The laser was bright and compact, the light was very bright, and the IR dot worked (To be honest, I don't have good night vision equip. to really test this). All features worked as described. The unit easily mounted to both m-lok and picatinny rails - I tried both but ended up with an m-lok mount on a tactical carbine. When mounted, I found the controls comfortable, easily accessible, and intuitive. The unit was taken to the range and co-witnessed with a previously zeroed red dot at 75 feet. After 200 rounds, the unit remained co-witnessed and on target. I am very satisfied.Overall, I was very pleased with the build quality of this product. Solid metal housing and quality rubberized button controls.I feel this provides excellent value for the money I paid and will be keeping the unit. At this point, only time will tell if this is of the quality I believe it to be. Based on other Votatu reviews and my own experience so far, I am considering other Votatu products including their magnifier/tube red dot and offset flip up sites.

Initial thoughts on this light laser combo: This tool definitely appears to be of good quality. It has a good weight and feel, and does not feel cheaply made. I am going to test how well the visible laser holds zero as well as how visible it is in daylight and low-light. I currently do not have the means to test the ir laser, so unfortunately I will not be able to properly test that function prior to my follow up review. I will update my review with my thoughts after Initial testing...UPDATE: After testing (and reading the instructions) I was able to confirm, that infact, the light has 3 modes, low, high and strobe. Depending on how many button taps you apply, you can cycle through the different modes. Also, the laser has a strobe mode with 2 quick taps. The IR laser does work, but seems a bit under powered, at least with the NV device I was useing for testing. Other users may have better or worse results based on their NV systems. The lasers held zero during 300 rounds of 5.56 rapid controlled fire (not full auto). Both with the use of a muzzle break and without. I like to test with and without a break, as some lasers are not able to hold zero after absorbing the different concussion forces when mounted close to the muzzle. The ergonomics are o.k. I mounted the light/laser system as far forward as I could in an area where my support hand wound be better able to manipulate the buttons. What I observed was that due to the profile of the light system, the buttons do take some getting used to. I think the system would definitely benefit if the buttons were either separated and on a mountable switch, or, if they were moved to a different position on the device. I would also like to see an IR illuminator option for the light. I used my rangefinder to measure the throw of the light at both low and high, both gave me about the same range of maximum positive ID of around 175yds. Yes, the light will illuminate farther, but useful light in a defensive situation, whether it be defense against a wild animal at night, or a home intruder is in my opinion 175yds. And yes, I know, most folks don't have a 175yd long area in their homes lol. But, in a home intruder situation, the ability to have that much light range available is definitely useful if you live in the country and want a weapon mounted light to secure your property at night. The brightness of the light and strobe output will definitely reduce the probability of needing to take a shot in a home intruder scenario, as it is definitely a temporarily visual disabled to any would be intruder. I would also like to see a green light option on the strobe function. I appreciate the ability to have both light and laser on at the same time, as a bright strobe light with a laser is an even more effective deterant to almost any home intruder...
