The training wheel's stability brackets did not fit any 20 inch bike that I had. We have three different mfgs and the frames were too large. No big deal for me since I have a grinder, but anyone without tools, this will be an issue. Once installed, it's very sturdy and my boy was off riding.

These wheels are very study and they're well made.My grand daughter, who was a little squeamish with the ones that came on her bike, had no trouble riding her bike with these. The only issue we had was they are thick, so we had to adjust the axel a bit to fit them on the bolt. But she took off right away and she hasn't stopped since! Well...maybe just to eat and sleep!

These are so awesome! The training wheels that came on my daughter's bike kept needing constant adjustment, so I decided to try these instead. These are the real deal. They stay in place, are easy to install, and work really well. If you need training wheels, forget about the other brands and just buy these! You won't regret it!

After messing around with a cheap set that wouldn’t stay in position and bent when my 4-year-old daughter rolled back into a curb we got these. These are the training wheels you probably had on your bike when you were a kid—the box says copyright 1981. If you still have your old set I’m sure they still work just fine and you can just move them over to your kid’s bike. If not, get a new pair.Pros: heavy-duty steel legs. Horizontal stabilizing brackets that don’t slip. Steel wheels with steel bearings. Made in the USA. The smile on my little girl’s face when she gets to ride instead of having to deal with broken training wheels.Cons: None (according to me). According to my daughter they would be better if they were pink. I told her I’d get some paint.Buy these and let your kid enjoy their bike.

Not happy with product. The supporting horizontal brackets (brace arms) only fit up to 3/4 tubing and not up to 1 inch tubing. It also was missing adapters for smaller rear frames as well. The box is the correct model #252 but advertise here is incorrect. Will be sending back for refund. Buyer beware of missing parts and/or incorrect parts.

The training wheels came and I installed them, and they've worked ever since.I did run into a little bit of difficulty with the installation because my daughter's bicycle is a stingray design. Therefore, the banana seat is supported at the back by two posts that are attached to the axle. The length of the axle is limited, so that didn't leave a lot of room to attach the training wheels (and braces) as well.I was able to do it though. One of the training wheels and braces went on without any problem. On the other side though, I was only able to attach the training wheel (not the brace) due to the insufficient length of the axle.I tightened the nut really good though, and the wheel works fine even without the brace.

Ordered because my childs current training wheels are so loud and do not tighten well. These were easy to install but still make a lot of noise.

Plenty thick metal to support a lot of weight. The part that keeps the wheel arm from rotating on the shaft, which straddles the horz frame needed to be modified to allow for a non-round frame, but I can't blame the manufacturer for that. I doubt others have a mig welder to do what I did, but it works perfectly with my modification to the part to enlarge the opening between the "fingers". If you have a frame (the part just forward of the rear tire mounting area, parallel to the ground)that is no larger than about 7/8" then you should be fine. Nice, solid product. On a 16" bike with a 50lb. child.
