The input wires will want to pop out so make sure you account for that.

I ended up changing my review from NOT recommended to recommended. I discovered that I was using bad ferrules in my connections that were not providing adequate contact with my wires. This breaker uses a compression style connector and not a screw type one. Because of this, you do not need to use ferrules. Simply just insert the bare wire into the connector and tighten.I blamed my issue with my system on the breaker but it was the connector and the breaker did it’s job. It terminated the connection when it detected arcing. And that’s exactly what it’s supposed to do. I ended up purchasing this unit a second time to replace the one that failed(by design).

I bought this breaker to disconnect the circuit between the solar panels and the controller before disconnecting my battery to prevent any possible damage to the controller without the battery being in the system. I liked that this breaker cut both the positive and negative lines making a complete break of the system. Just be sure to place it in a convenient spot.

I ordered this to function as my solar panel array cut-off and safety breaker. The DIN-Rail mount works perfectly in my small 5-way distribution box. I feel confident in the extra safety this adds to my system. I can also cut power from the panels to my system in the event of an issue, and also ensuring that power is cut when I have to perform any work on the system.The breaker functions as advertised. I tested it with a DC load tester and 24v battery. It tripped right at 32A as expected. It is a good value for the money and I give it 5 stars.

Disappointed only one rail connector. Not as stable as others with both breakers on rail pins. Contacted seller who promised a replacement but its been a month, and past my return date... no replacement. Disappointing.
