Easily slipped over the exhaust pipe that I also bought from Amazon 3-4 years ago. I was able to use the same old strap and clamp with help of grease and DW40. I bought the cheaper Walker muffler that exactly looked like this in Amazon 3-4 years ago but it rusted out, I hope this will last longer for 2004 Chevy Cavalier w/ 190300 miles on. One little issue is:THE TAIL EXHAUST AFTER THE MUFFLER IS A LITTLE BIT SHORT.

I used to buy economy grade, generic parts to save money, but I learned some time ago that it is worth paying extra for these original equipment (OE) parts in terms of time and frustration saved.

For in my opion was just a little short. But all in all worked great. Excellent replacemen muffler when all you need is the muffler on the stock stainless pipes. Installed on a 2000 cavalier with only 9800 miles that just the muffler had rusted out. Can't be mad after 15 years.

I bought this back in 5/2013. Even though a little pricey, still looking decent and working well. The selling point for me was 100% stainless.When I dropped the exhaust system to fix the cat I noticed on the top of the muffler was starting to rust out from the inside and the side is blown out! Huh? Doesn't act like Stainless...Ah well, 3yrs is a good run, I guess. (April 9, 2016)
