I like this product as it is well made. My horse is 17.2 thoroughbred who is slim and has small shoulders. I bought FULL but it is VERY tight and I would like to buy a bigger size but they dont make one. There is only an inch on the belly strap to fasten it and you can see his wither hairs poking through the material.Dear weatherbeta, please could you make an extra large and in white to put under fly rugs. Thank you.

Great for my horse to prevent shoulder rubs with her Winter blanket. She doesn't mind it and it's doing the job until I buy her a new blanket.

Quality is pretty good- one of the better fabrics I've seen. Doesn't trap too much heat. However, the fabric began to pill and rub into a fuzzy mess within the first week. Still no rubs on the horse, but now the velcro on her blankets sticks to it. Also, I wish that the belly strap was more adjustable. As it is, if your horse doesn't fit it with the velcro completely closed and covering, it will rough up your blanket interiors and get debris stuck in it. However, I think this will last a fair while and it's worth a try for your horse! I've got this one on a 1200#, 16.2 TB.

This shoulder guard protects my horse from any rubs from his sheet. Easy to put on and looks very comfortable. Velcro holds it in place so no bulky buckles

I purchased this to put under blanket as most of us do to keep the blanket from rubbing. However this can't be left unchecked for more than a day or two as it rubbed into my horses back. I may have been a bit too snug, but it didn't seem like it was. It did keep the blanket from rubbing though.
