What's there to say? I'm keeping a ~ 15 year old Jen-Air range unit alive as a couple of the burners have rotted out, these are easy to install but tell me why they are so expensive?

Part was a replacement for a 20 year old burner that started to corrode and leaking a little gas at the base of it not making it safe to operate. This part was an exact replacement and install was very intuitive and easy. The quality seems very similar to the original, so I'm hoping to get another 20 years of operation from it. The part showed up a couple of days earlier than predicted which was also nice.

Easily installed on my Jenn-Air stovetop (JDS9860AAP). After some research, I took a chance that it would work even though my model number wasn’t listed. It was super easy to install by myself and works perfectly! Just ignore the fact that the listing says “white.” It’s not. It is black like it should be.

See picture... .one on the left is old, one on the right is new! Perfect fit, easy to install in 10 min or less. Th finish on this burner is the same as the others installed from factory. I was not compensated in any way for this review.Instructions1) remove grate from top of burners.2) gently pull up back of the burner module from the middle and pull away from you to disengage electrical contact.3) unit should be inverted on clean towel.4) remove screws from both of the sides, and one from the "top" (was the bottom)5) gently pry off cover to expose burner.At this point, I would highly recommend to also change the "sparking" piece which does not come with this burner replacement. The one I ordered is the one listed below. It fit perfectly, and lit instantly.Ultra Durable 74004053 Top Burner Igniter for Range replacement by Blue Stars - Exact Fit for Whirlpool & Maytag Range, Oven, Stove - Replaces 704111 AP4093621.6) remove the screws from the metal pipe that supply the gas, set aside. gently rotate the pipe towards you, noting that there are two metal washers that may fall off. The washers have a direction so note that the lip of one the washer fits in the pipe, and the other into the burner. Otherwise there won't be a good seal! That means they face back to back flat.7) remove the screws from the sparking piece, and gently hold the metal connector to the wire and pull up.8) grab the burner from below and twist off9) place sparking piece into large hole on the side, and wiggle very gently to get the electrode to poke out the side.10) secure the sparking piece with the two screws.11) replace with new burner, noting the three "bumps on the side" and the three holes to line up burner, and twist on.12) place wire on sparking electrode13) place pipe into hole on the module, and rotate back into position so holes on the pipe line up with holes on the burner.14) secure pipe with the two screws.15) place bottom of module back on the unit, and fasten the 7 screws back into place.16) place sealed module back into place being careful to line up the two still wires sticking out into the ceramic sockets.17) test out lighter/gas - should works great!
