Used this on PLANT STARTS this spring. Great on black pots I reused and equally useful on the red 'party cups' which when adapted by drilling drainage in bottom were employed for up planting veggie starts. A bit pricey, so as not to lose it I tied a drip of bright plastic ribbon around it. Voila!

I bought this to write on cardboard and waxed-cardboard boxes inside a walk-in cooler. Normal china markers and white crayons work well for this purpose, but I wanted something that wouldn't write all over the other things in my pocket.I thought this thing was like a clicky pen or mechanical pencil, but with a china marker tip. It's not. It's like those screw-type mechanical crayons we used to find sometimes when we were kids, except it's difficult or impossible to screw the writing tip back into the body. Also, the writing tip doesn't actually write on anything. Even after riding around in my pants pocket all day the wax is hard as a rock and doesn't write smoothly on anything.

I use these sort of markers to write the mileage at which I performed under-hood car maintenance.I write the "changed at" mileage on the air filter box, near the oil filler cap, near the automatic transmission cap, etc..It wipes off with basic alcohol or degreaser, but stays legible between changes.Much better for me than trying to remember or keeping a paper record.

Had one in blue years ago. This does the trick for me at work: I sometimes have to mark up corrections, etc., on PPT slides and other glossy and/or (dark) colored-surface documents. I love this pencil for that, plus the barrel is refillable with any color of Listo refill leads. Excellent value and does what I need it to do. Well worth every penny.

This is a mechanical pencil version of a traditional 'china marker' / 'wax marker' / 'grease pencil' which adhere to a surface better than a dry erase marker as they don't wipe off as easily yet are not permanent so they are a handy item for any DIY types. The advantages to this form factor is that it does not require one to peel away the pencil from the tip, so it's zero mess and you aren't left with a tiny pencil that's non-usable waste. It's also refillable so you can use this forever.
