They are nice.. easy to assemble.. happy with the shades

At the moment could not be happier with these!!! I just put them up but have high hopes!!!

This is a more attractive shade than I expected, considering I had to put it together. I somehow managed that and found that I really like it. The neutral color helps a lot because I have so many options on where to use it. However, with a lamp shade, size is very important and it’s clearly listed on the product page.I disagree with the reviews that emphasize what they consider the “cheap” quality of the shade. Similar shades in size and general appearance (their look from a glance, from across a room, or simply not examining the shade closely) can cost triple what these cost, but look the same.The only real issue seems to be the seam, which I face towards the wall. I can’t quite get why their reviews penalize them for that. In my opinion it’s a well made shade that looks good, especially considering its price. However, I’ll admit its price for a single shade is a bit high, though still nowhere near a premium shade. It makes good sense to get two, as the discount for doing so is considerable, with the individual cost for getting two being very competitive.You get as much or likely more than you should expect for the price. Judged in their price range, these shades surely deserve 5 stars.

I got this 11x13x10 pair of beige lampshades for my partner's and my nightstand lamps. They require some care in assembling to get the shades looking neat and smooth, but just be patient and you'll get it. The shades fit the lamp and look as expected. You can see the "seam" that holds them together, but we just turn the seam to face the wall, and it looks fine. I took off a star just because the price of these shades ($39.99 for 2-pack of 11x13x10) is a bit high for the cheap quality. Overall, though, I'd recommend them.

Save yourself time and money and buy some lamp shades in person. I purchased these shades because they had decent reviews and I was having trouble finding a specific size is non-white. They were easy to assemble and would have been ok except both shades had wrinkles all the way around on top and bottom. You could also see little dents from where the shades snap on top the metal rings. I don’t recommend at all unless you don’t mind the look of defects.

Update 2/4/25:Since getting this, I have subsequently updated other lamps in my home with similar lampshades from various manufacturers and sellers. All are of a similar design and assembly process to this one. Side by side I have come to the conclusion that this shade is of generally higher quality than the others I have tried. This isn't to say that those aren't good shades. They are. But this one is a VERY good shade, and I'd be willing to spend the money to get more of these so my lamps all match. Just be extra vigilant during assembly so there are no "dimples" in the fabric and the shade sits level once mounted to a lamp.Original Review:I was really excited to get this lamp shade. The lamps in my living room are not new and it shows. Changing the shade is a simple, easy way to freshen up the look of the room and even make it brighter, all for a relatively low cost. There's no need to replace lamps that are working just fine, but adding a clean, new lampshade lets the bright, modern LED bulbs really do their jobs, and it makes the room look fresh too.This shade was fairly simple to assemble. The top ring with the 3 radial arms, which I think is called the spider ring, had a little bit of trouble with getting one of the arms to seat firmly in the central finial ring. It stays put when assembled and mounted, but it's not nearly as firm in the receiver as I'd like. Otherwise the assembled shade feels good. It's solid and substantial, and it has held up well to several cycles of installation and removal as I tinker with various combinations of lamps, shades and harps.This shade is 16 inches across at the bottom and 14 at the top. The shade it's replacing was 16 at the bottom and 8 at the top. I don't have any problem with how different it looks from the side; the whole idea was to freshen up the look. The issue is that this is installed on a floor lamp that stands at least a foot shorter than me. This means whenever I am standing or walking by, I get an unobstructed view of the lightbulb. It's a little blinding and I don't think I had this problem with the old shade. I'd have preferred a more dramatic taper, like the old one, or a narrower shade overall. This isn't a knock on the product. Sometimes it can take some trial and error before you find the perfect combination of lamp and shade. If this had come in a two-pack I'd have happily installed them on my pair of table lamps in the same room, and gone a different way for the floor lamp. But if my uncle had pigtails he'd be my aunt. I think this lampshade will look very nice and well-proportioned on a table lamp in my child's room, and I'm getting a slightly narrower shade for the floor lamp this is on currently.Objectively, this has done its job. The difference this clean, bright shade has made in the light level is literally night and day. It lets a lot more light out into the room than the old, yellowed lampshade it replaced. I would seriously consider buying a second one to use with my living room table lamps if I decide I'm not thrilled with how it looks in my child's room. Likewise if these come in different sizes I wouldn't hesitate to give this company my business. I still can't get over what a difference this simple change has made. Wow.
