This adapter advertises that it's "1080p", but that's a bit incorrect. Yes, this will let your Wii display on a 1080p screen, but the image is still 480p. This does not do any sort of active upscaling or image conversion. There is no post processing or cleaning up of the image at all -- it is just outputting the normal, standard 480p image over HDMI to your TV. If your TV for some reason cannot handle 480p, it may not even display anything.That said, for $6.99, this isn't a bad adapter. Yeah, it's not HD, but the Wii was never HD. If you are expecting an active upscaling dongle for $6.99, I have a bridge to sell you. Picture quality looks totally passable and it achieved my personal goal of ditching my Wii component cables, so I am happy with it.
