The Wild Water 8' Tenkara rod is compact and versatile and can be used to target a variety of fish. This rod is great for beginners just starting their fly fishing adventures or for experienced anglers that have been fishing for years. Our TK-8 series rod is 8' fully extended and the handle easily stores the other 5 telescopic sections.

This rod is finished with a matte black color and has a stainless removable laser etched end cap. The 8 5/8" cork handle provides comfort for long afternoons of fishing. Every Wild Water Fly Fishing starter package come with a durable nylon carrying case for travel and storage. This rod case features an inner hard PVC rod tube to protect your Tenkara rod. For the best protection of your Wild Water fly rod, use cloth rod bag to store your rod before placing it in the case.

I really like this Tenkara rod and set up, very nice starter kit. My only issue is the rubber O-rings to install the line keepers were too thick and wouldn’t work with the plastic line keepers. It’s nice to adjust from 12’ to 13’ feet on the rod when you just need that little extra length. It casts fine with the lines provided. I’m new to Tenkara and getting used to the type of line I prefer, so it’s nice to have a few types to try and get used to. I feel It’s well worth the price for the variety of gear provided to get started right off the bat.

so the smallest rods are actually side by side (might be three rod sections I'm not certain). so the pole doesn't extend fully. watched the video which was no help. emailed the company waiting for response. Seems ridiculous. I was excited to try it but, the product is obviously flimsy. I mean it was delivered non operational maybe even broken. company response was "what was your order number?" Really? that wont fix it. Returned broken product within hours of receiving it. I do not see how this set up would be conducive to the back country. Maybe it was a fluke but it certainly is not something I want to deal with. Customer service was poor in my opinion.

Really enjoy this little fishing rod. Not something I use as my main fishing pole but I always take it with me when I go fishing. So portable and fun to use. Always catches fish.

I have caught dozens of trout on this rod! I have even fallen and thought I would damaged the rod while I was fishing. It is durable and has a great action! I could not be happier with wild water products.

This pic was literally 5 minutes after opening the package! The Lilian was damaged and no where around me carries parts for a tenkara rod. My fault for waiting until the last minute to order, but this ruined my trip!!!!

I am an avid saltwater fisherman down in Florida. I visit my buddy up in PA a couple times a year. I found out about Tenkara fishing a couple months back and figured it would be perfect for the creeks and streams up where my buddy lives. I just received my 8ft wild water starter kit and I’m pleasantly surprised on the quality of everything for the price. I have yet to try it out but I will update if anything changes.

This is a great little set and all we needed to get started. Nice quality and smooth set-up. Had to look elsewhere for guidance on which line to use but it came with just the right lines.
