Snap-on Industrial Brand JH Williams 8-Inch duck bill pliers features jaws that are polished with rust protective coating. The flat wide nose provides a better grip than the regular needle nose models. The handles are double dipped in plastics and the jaw length is 1 1/4-Inch.

I was not aware how thick the jaws are. each jaw is about 1/8" thick. This makes removing small cotter pins that are bent around a clevis pin difficult up by the pilot's rudder pedals. A thinner jaw will make room to reverse the bent cotter pin ends on both sides simultaneously then pull out the pin. Harder to do with these.

These work very well. They have a very secure grip on objects. I have a separate pair (about 5 yrs old) I use for fishing to remove hooks from large fish.

Williams is like Snap-on but at 1/2 the price. This tool is first rate in every respect. *** added *** First set was sloppy. The rivet was loose and there was quite a bit of deadband when changing from open to close. Returned to Amazon and received the replacement the next day. No wobble. Absolutely perfect.

A well made plier but I expect that for Williams Brand. They have always made good tools as long as you dont mind paying for them. A good tool always goes back to the Ole saying "you get what you pay for". It is quickly becoming my go to pliers in my truck.

Great quality pliers! The teeth mate perfectly when fully closed and are quite sharp for outstanding grip. I believe Williams builds Snap-On's hand tools - these are identical except for the color of the cushioned handles. Last pair you'll ever need.
