These are the ones. Nicely shiny, open and close well, slide ring to keep closed in drawer is perfect.Don’t buy the other kind with no slide ring. Wife hates that kind, and it’s a hassle in the drawer.

A little heavier in weight then I used too. But still a good quality.I found my other set of tongs, so keeping for emergency.

These aren't thin and chintzy feeling like the cheapest thing in walmart. They feel like a nice tool and are a good addition to the kitchen. Cheap too

Well constructed with a medium weight stainless steel. The angle when opened, makes for comfortable fit in hand and easy single handed use. The lock on this tong is the best around, beating those that have that one that pull out and push in at that end.

Got rid of the black plastic tongs presumably made with toxic materials and find this set to be simple, functional, and a great value. What’s not to like?

I'm a huge fan of tongs with rings, because it keeps them easy to store and retrieve from a drawer, but it's not a locking mechanism that requires two hands to operate (such as pull style ones, eg OXO) or a counterintuitive up-down magic latch (forever accidentally locking those or unable to remember how to unlock them under pressure of something needing a turn *rightnow* ugh). Ring closures are the way to go IMHO, only many options in this style suffer from EXTREMELY cheap build quality. Not these! They're a great weight, have a strong, coiled spring, and the rivet holding them together is crimped AND capped instead of just curled outwards like other pairs I've had (this has been main the point of failure for this style, in my experience). I'll update if they have any performance problems down the road, but I doubt they will: this is clearly an industrial quality item.Edit: the springs in these are so beefy that they make my hands tired to use them for very long. I'd say oh well, this is just a fault of my grip strength, EXCEPT: I'm a woman with "man hands" - as in, like, the hubs had to order a custom size for my engagement ring, I can't wear women's glove sizes, etc -- for a woman, these are absolute bear paws. 🫣 This means there are going to be a lot of women who can't operate these tongs without a lot of discomfort. I can still use them ok, so I consider this an acceptable tradeoff for the quality/won't deduct a star for it, but take this facet into consideration if your hand strength isn't the best.
