I have a 20 foot pair of semi-truck jumper cables that I bought to power my car trailer's winch. I cut the connector clamps off about 2 feet from ends (Yes, that was a hard one to do !) and installed two sets of these.....One on the the severed clamps end and the other on the power leads to the winch. It takes all of 5 seconds to switch them from jumper cable duty to winch & trailer duty !Excellent products with virtually no voltage loss.

Very tight fit so no worry about it coming loose and it looks good too. I did have issues fitting the lugs in but it was my own fault for using a cheap crimper that pinched the lugs badly. It was fixable though and they work just fine.

Terminals are large enough to accept 4 ga wire. You need quite a bit of heat to solder these, but can be done. Hammer Crimping is difficult due to wall thickness.

I use a lot of these in the forklift industry, these are the same quality of the ones that I buy from the OEM's. Would definitely recommend.

Product is exactly as expected, installation difficulty is related to your ability to crimp or solder the terminals to your wire. That really isn’t anything the product can change. Otherwise the plastic shell interfaces well (plugs together well). The covers are tight.

The actual contacts were constructed of a thinner gauge Than other Anderson connectors I have used. Only time will tell if this becomes a problem with the connection to the wire. The tin connectors seem to have a much thinner coating than many others I have used having said thisI haven’t experienced any problems yet although I am more careful disconnecting the connectors than with true Anderson’s I also noticed that the completed assembly pushed together and disconnected easier than the real Anderson connectors because the hump on the contacts that holds the connectors together is lower than that of Anderson connectors I’m unsure if over time they will become too loose.

Great product. The grey will not insert into the red (perhaps if you had a file or dremel to modify the plastic). The metal inserts can get mangled if you try to crimp them (so I have heard, I soldered them), but you can buy new ones. They do come in all different sizes (2 AWG, 4 AWG etc) You can peel back some copper fibers of a 2 AWG wire (enough to fit into a 4 AWG size), solder it, and electrical tape the strands after you bend them forward (that is my solution).I use them to wire a receiver mounted winch (both front and back), I built a charging circuit (this is the grey set) for an auxiliary deep cycle battery/inverter, and I made a set of jumper cables (cutting off one end and soldering on one of these disconnects). I have not used them extensively, but 4X4 and camping season is fast approaching.
