the picture in the listing makes the straps look threw times as thick as they actually are. This is SUPER flimsy. It's stretchy so you can probably get it to work to a similar effect, but it definitely doesn't lay as nice or with a pattern. It's way too thin. It is like a bra strap on a cheap bra like super cheap bra. Not like Victoria's secret or anything. Very thin and very cheap elastic. I sew and I wouldn't put this as the elastic to gather an arm sleeve. It's that thin. I've never seen elastic this thin in the store.
