I was having an alignment issue with my table saw. I was not sure if it was a left to right issue or a bent blade. It turned out to be both. I purchased a new blade and corrected my alignment issue thanks to this tool. It also worked great on my jointer. Would definitely recommend it.

Very straightforward to use. Works well in my saw's miter slots which unfortunately are not consistently shaped (aluminum Sawstop table). Accurate based on my comparisons with calipers (not sure which is more precise, but they agree!). Expensive but worth it.

Extremely disappointed. For almost $100 I got something that was clearly previously used and returned, with scuff marks on the rollers and dinged edges (see pic), and also not accurate during use. When placed on the roller in the track of my Ridgid table saw, the ends of the metal piece holding the dial gauge are not level with the table. So you have to hold one end down when still and when moving it across the saw or whatever you're trying to make flush. This introduces significant measurement errors. I also expected a high quality dial gauge, but this one has some stickiness during motion. The only cleverness in the design in the rollers, which I expect to compensate for any unevenness in the track width, as advertised. But the rollers do not make up for the other deficiencies that introduce more error than track width.For folks interested in using this for calibrating a table saw, I'd recommend getting a well rated dial gauge from Amazon, and mounting it on a block of wood attached to a Microjig Zeroplay. It'll meet your needs for less than half the price of this saw gauge from Woodpeckers. Not a fan.

This tool is great. Simple to use and very very accurate. I used it on my new table saw and got it down to .002 of an inch. And that's because I didn't care about getting it to .001. Alignment was easy and when you are very close to being perfect, it eliminates burning of your material. Very happy with this product and would recommend it.

Awesome quality! Very accurate and easy to set up and use. It came in a very nice case with foam protection cut to fit the components exactly. Woodpeckers have created yet another superb product. I was able to tune my table saw to within 0.001" to eliminate any burning for rip or cross-cuts.

I'm giving it 4.5 stars only because it can be a little temperamental to use at times on some table saws and that is not the fault of the tool but the table saw itself . But it's fast to setup and super easy to use and if are going to get one just make sure that you the ones in the black lockable box with foam lining and not the red box one that you see in the picture !

I recently purchased a Delta Unisaw and labored over whether or not to purchase a tool to ensure proper setup. I finally decided it made sense and selected Woodpeckers product since I've been very pleased with the quality of their tools. This gauge is very simple to use, arrives fully assembled and comes in a tough plastic case that protects the tool. I quickly discovered that my table was out of alignment with the blade, my fence required minor adjustment too. I had previously used numerous methods (squares, Incra miter gauge to align the table and thought I was much closer than I was.This gauge quickly told the real story and my cut quality has improved to exceptional. After investing in a cabinet saw, Forrest blades, Incra miter gauges, etc., it makes sense to purchase something that helps maximize your tools performance. I highly recommend Woodpeckers Saw Gauge.

I never used anything like this before and I was able to callibrate my new Grizzly table saw to within 2/10,000th's of an inch in about 4 minutes (and now that I've done it once, I could do it in half that time).I read several articles on how to set up my new table saw manually and it gave me a headache--this tool (plus the master plate) REALLY made it stupid easy to do, and with much better results than I could have gotten eye-balling it or measuring it.I also agree with previous posters--it's heavy, well constructed, and feels like a solid/quality tool. There is nothing flimsy about this tool. The hard plastic case it comes in is excellent for keeping it safe (not everyone is reporting getting the case, but the one I ordered had the case and it's a must have to keep this precision tool safe).My father, who has been doing woodworking for decades, was on hand when I used the tool for the first time and he was amazed at how easy it was to get the table set up using the plate and this gauge--he wants to borrow it and see how good his saws at home are using his measuring and eyeballing technics.I'm extremely pleased with this tool and do not regret my purchase at all--I would recommend this tool to anyone interested in doing precision work on any machine that can be calibrated.

A good saw guage is a must have for any saw or router table, and the Woodpecker Saw Guage is as accurate as any of the super-fine pro alignment guages we use in the shop, but costs many times less.You can't beat this for the price.But there's a problem: the guage arrived in a display box, not a storage case. A simple box, with routed areas to put the parts, no padding, and a lexan cover that just drops on. No seal, no lock, no padding. There's no possible way to protect or store this precision instrument in the box it arrived in, and that's a BIG problem.Have contacted Router Table Depot about this. If I can't get the "new lockable, plastic case with laser cut foam to fit the loose parts" in the item description, this is going back.
