Plastic is almost rigid to a point it’s brittle…possibly related to the place i installed them, on the side of the bag on the Harley.

The surround isn't perfectly round and has several bits of moulding lines protruding from the inner and outer edges in some sections, the metal grill is not large enough to fill the inner opening (couple of mm gap all the way round) and isn't attached to the surround meaning that you will have to come up with someway of securing grate to surround or have it dropping to the bottom of the surround.Luckily for me the application I'm using it for will rarely be seen so I'm more interested in protecting what's behind it, not the aesthetic. If appearance was important to me, this would have gone straight back.
