I used this for several months, then the pads started to fray and the plastic piece that holds the pad flat, broke. Dry pads do absorb spills quite well, but the wringer on the bucket doesn’t get enough water out of the pad and the floor is too wet when finished mopping.

I've been a fan of the X3 Mop and have recommended it to several people. Since I keep mine full and ready to use 24/7 to use for puppy messes, I upgraded to the XL. The new unit is the same height, but it's a little wider and the mop head is bigger. The pole is sturdier. The bucket handle has been changed for better balance to counteract the weight of one chamber being full (new clean water on one side and the waste water being empty.) The pads also seem more sturdy, which is helpful since I'm using this mop ALL THE TIME. Previously, I might have to resew the mop head seams so they wouldn't catch in the teeth of the rinse/debrider slot. So far, these are holding up to laundering and heavy use, so I'm quite pleased. I appreciate the innovations this company has for something not too many people would care about (a lowly mop). But this mop makes my home clean and healthy. I wouldn't be without it.

The mop bucket fit perfectly inside the cabinet below my sink. It’s great to finally have a relatively compact mop bucket that also has separate reservoirs for clean water, clean water to rinse, and dirty water. I like how you can control how much clean water flows into the rinse reservoir and that when you scrape to rinse, it automatically will go into the dirty reservoir.The mop pad is slightly larger than my swiffer which helps the chore go by quicker!It comes with a third middle bar that is optional to lengthen the pole. I’m using it with the third middle bar to help reduce bending over (I’m 5’4) but it is a little long for me. No big deal, and if anything I can always remove it. I do wish the height adjustments had more options like an inner pole to extend/contract instead of separate pieces but it’s not a big deal.I wish the grip handle was more ergonomic and had more of a loop handle grip instead of just being straight with a hook at the end (to hang) but we’ll see with prolonged use if this is annoying or not. The weight doesn’t hurt my wrists/hands even with my arthritis but maybe it was just a good day. I’ll give an update.I did hear that eventually the mop pads will snag on the rinsing teeth, so we’ll see when that happens. Changing the mop pads is a bit of a pain as you have to hook the base flaps into pockets on the bottom of the mop pad (along with Velcro). I don’t see the need in making it SO secure but shouldn’t be too much of a big deal since I’d only change the pad after cleaning my whole apartment. I wouldn’t change the pad multiple times during one session like with my swiffer due to the clean rinsing capabilities.So far I’m happy and want to give it 5 stars but will provide an update if my opinion changes or things get actually annoying.

I have tried every mop available and this is by far the best. I love how you are always mopping with clean water, never does your mop get dunked back into dirty water. The skin slime design is easy for storage and looks aesthetically pleasing. The washable microfibre heads do not create streaks on any fooor substrate. I even use this on my windows!!! Stop looking at and just BUY!

So happy to know each time I wipe the floor it’s with clean water! The dirty reservoir shows my efforts … plus how often I might need to clean in future 🤷♀️

Really love the mop. Cleans mop every time before you put it in the cleaning solution. It keeps your wash water very fresh. Washing the floor goes quickly. I like to double dip the sides instead of one dip.

I am following up now that I've had this unit for a couple of months. Although I initially loved it, I found that the pads that come up with it aren't up to the job - at all. After just a couple times of using them, each starts to snag on the mop rinsing mechanism, very quickly making them useless as the get stuck in the bucket and won't go in or out. This happened to each and every one of the three that came with it in just a few uses each. I even got out my sewing machine and tried to put rows of zig-zag stitches at the very end to stop this from happening, but it didn't work. At $4.50 a pop for replacement pads, I cannot recommend this any longer. It's unfortunate as this mop showed so much promise. Save your money until they figure out how to make the pads work with the bucket.My previous review:It really does separate the clean water from the dirty water. It does this by scraping the dirty water off and depositing it in a dirty side then you move the mop over to the clean side and refresh the mop with clean water. It's a little on the drier side - like a well wrung out regular mop, but on today's floors that's probably a good thing. It comes with a lifetime guarantee, but I don't think it's worth much. Their website is closed down and they don't respond to emails. The pads that you use to clean with started hanging up when I was getting more water, and when I looked they were starting to rip at the seems where they're held on to the mop. I don't think they'll last too long, but so far I've been pleased with this and would recommend, even though it is quite pricey.

Ok, I will be honest, I was ready to return the item but after using the system a bunch of times, I am totally converted. First of all, if you are reading reviews about the pole seeming weak or like it is going to break, that means the person did not follow the directions properly when it was assembled. The pole assembly is in a specific direction and if not done correctly, it will indeed feel like it is going to break. Once assembled properly it is very strong. Second, even though the bucket is not that big, it means it is light enough to carry and the square shape means it will be super easy to store. Third, in spite of the small bucket, a little goes a LONG way because the system separates the dirty water. Fourth, the mop lies flat so you can easily mop under dressers and beds. Fifth, the mop comes with an extender so it’s great for taller people or to clean walls.Yes it is annoying that you have to rotate the head to clean both ends but I’d rather do that than constantly clean out the bucket. Yes the mechanism is a little stiff at first but with use, it gets easier and easier to clean the head.The pads also seem better at scrubbing the floors compared to other mop systems and it’s great that this comes with extra pads.I am quite happy with this product even though I initially felt it was too much to spend on a mop. As an apartment dweller, this system works well for my needs.
