This is the best garlic press I've ever used including my $50 stainless press from Sur la table. I was a little sceptical since it is made of plastic, but it is that thick super durable plastic used for outdoor sprinkler box covers and wheel barrels. It is thoughtfully engineered. The upper handle piece has a scraper that is extremly useful when cleaning both sides of the press holes. Also, the coinciding press nubbs keep the garlic cloves from shifting to the edges of the the press and squeezing up and out of the sides as with other presses. The nubbs also extremely helpful with cleaning.

My friend asked me for advice on which garlic press is the best. I did some research, looked through a dozen, and ordered the best-looking devices to try. The most important criteria were: capacity, tightness of the plunger's lateral fit to the inner walls, and ease and convenience of cleaning. As a result, I found a device that is absolutely excellent in all respects, and I am writing my review of it. Excellent design, excellent execution, and material. My respect and admiration for the creators! I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to use pressed garlic and ginger (juice)!

All I got was a tiny bit of garlic juice instead.... product comes in 2 separate pieces and they don't seem to fit together to push the garlic through .

The garlic gets stuck in the holes and the tool doesn't push it all out.It works ok and holds a few cloves of garlic though. I like that it comes apart at least to clean it. Have to get a toothpick to run through the holes to get some of the garlic out.

I especially like this crusher, because I can fit more than one clove at a time into it. And because I get the leverage afforded by a countertop, I don't have to wrestle the thing in midair. I think -- if I'd had my druthers -- it would have been just a bit better with a metal grate; but, for me, this doesn't negate the advantage of the stability. I would say that it should be hand-washed, as, like all plastics, dishwasher detergent is never completely rinsed and spotting is inevitable.

I didn't think a plastic garlic press would be that good, but, the material is a heavy plastic and it feels very solid in the hand. The design is amazing. How someone though of having it come apart and the crusher part have a thick edge like blade that fits perfectly inside to scrape out the remaining garlic. I loved it after one use.
