Your cart is empty.The Yak Gear Zig Zag Cleat Kit comes with a 3-1/2 inch nylon zig zag cleat for kayaks, canoes and small boats. The zig zag cleat provides a stable access point to secure anchors, drift chutes, bow lines and safety lines. Zig zag cleats require no knots to be tied, as the pressure from the lace back design keep all anchors in place using up to 3/8 inch rope. As always, this complete kit comes with all stainless steel installation hardware, installation instructions and rigging tips from Yak Gear. Water proof silicone recommended, not included.

I installed the cleat on my new SOT to secure my anchor line to with the included plastic rivets and some Amazing Goop. The cleat not only looks better than some internet Bubba mod, but is quick and easy to use and allowed me to stay over some productive fishing spots in Lesser Slave Lake in 3' swells. Before installing I was concerned about scratching myself or getting my gear hung up on the cleat, but it's well designed to prevent this.

There's not much for me to write about this, you know what this is if you need it and it works well. The only thing I'll say is the package I received did not match the hardware shown in the picture here. Mine came with two bolts, two nuts, and two rivets. It did not come with any washers. Fortunately I had some, but you may need to plan ahead.

Used on my tandem Old Town Loon to keep bow and stern anchor ropes where I can reach them. I've got kids who occassionally need a tow when they tucker out. Works very well and installs easily.
