Lucky me the one I get leaks right out of the box, and the coolant level sensor is faulty also (old one plugs in and works so I know it's not the vehicle wiring, plus I checked voltage and ohms). But thanks to being a busy person I didn't get a chance to put it in till after the return window, yep lucky me, $60 thrown away. Almost forgot the mounting stand and hole in the front were almost not usable, had to fight to get it mounted correctly.

Very good product built well. Easy to install and would have been much easier if GM engineers would have moved tank away from air filter 1” to access the front bolt. 10 mm ratchet wrench and Chanel locks or screwdriver to remove hose clamps. Undo bolts and top hose leave bottom hose hooked up. Pull tank up when hose is maxed out remove bottom hose and install it on new tank. Then reinstall. I didn’t lose a quarter cup of coolant. Hope this helps.

Fits the 5.3L in the 1999-2006 Chevys. Nice hard plastic looks exactly like the stock one and fits the same way. Recommend replacing your hose clamps while you're doing this (I was doing my water pump at the same time). You're going to lose a good bit of coolant so it might be worth doing a coolant flush while you're at it. Remember you need the orange dexos compliant one. I replaced mine because the original was flashing a low coolant warning on my dashboard due to my sensor being gummed up. This fixed the problem
