These tuners are not very good at all. I installed them on a banjo build and the 5th string tuner has absolutely no tension. I have tried everything to get more tensiona and it will not hold. The other tuning machines grind and feel very cheap when using.

These happened to be an exact fit for my banjo. Of the 2 screw holes, one fit perfectly and the other was just slightly off, but the tuner mount covered the hole. So, you can look at my banjo closely and not tell that they are not original.So, I'm a happy camper and recommend this replacement tuner set.

The measurements for the peg at 28mm is wrong. Peg height is 20mm, far above the plus or minus 1-3mm as advertised.

I used them for a home-made gut-string banjo. They were easy to install and they held the tuning well. I bought another set for the next project.
