It seems to be really good. I figured I would have to finish it based on the pictures which is fine. Dress the fret ends and level and crown the frets and apply a finish.

I recently bought another Maple 22 fret Jazz (more like a P bass) neck I got from what I am sure is the same place but they seem to use multiple accounts. The first one I got was also a Maple fretboard 21 frets and it is great but now that sellers account is defunct. Just as good of quality as Fender for a fraction of the price. The current one I just bought looked fine upon receiving it although I could see the G side was a little wonky I thought a fret level and some truss adjustment would help but it is unplayable past the 7th fret no matter what I do. I also had to bore out the tuner holes 1/16" to fit the Fender Tuners. I am still waiting for a response from an email my friend sent (my friend used his account so my wife wouldn't be find out haha). Has anyone ever dealt with an issue like this and did they replace the neck for you? Its just a warped baseball bat with frets at this point. So bummed. I was trying to make a 'poor mans Geddy Lee' out of a Squire Affinity Black body and white pearloid pick guard and added a hi-mass bridge which I also bought from one of these sellers. The strings on the "Fender Genuine Parts" hi-mass bridge were about 1/4" overall narrower than normal so they do not line up centered over each pair of poles. The sustain is great though and I ended up finding some wider saddles so its fine now. Doubtful it is an actual Fender piece. They are good at "replicating" the real stuff but sometimes don't get the specs correct. It even came in a real looking "Fender Genuine Parts" package. Oh yeah and if you ever compare the headstocks with an actual Fender they are different angles and a little wider Where the 'F' in the Fender logo would be as if it was made for a 5th string. You may also have to screw in a 2nd string tensioner for the A string due to the mellow breakover angle causing buzzing. I am happy to keep buying from these sellers as long as they come through when there is a problem. Hoping they are willing to send a replacement instead of them having to deal with a returned POS useless neck. I hope this information was helpful.🖖🏼🎸

Got it pretty fast. Was expecting at least a week but came in less than 3. Beautiful inlays, neck is straight, truss rod is functional, and above all else, it was inexpensive for a quality neck.PROS: Block Inlays are perfectly flush with the fretboard. The frets feel pretty leveled. Good for beginners who don’t want to spend over $200 on a licensed part in case they make any costly mistakes.CONS: Fretboard is DRY. Frets do need to be filed at the edges, they are insanely sharp. Neck profile kinda feels like a baseball bat, which can be challenging for a lot of beginners or anybody who prefers a traditional “c” or “d” profile. Obvious plastic nut.Otherwise, it’s a fantastic product. You get what you pay for and more if you’re a skilled luthier or guitar tech. However if you’re a beginner, absolutely watch videos on social media or just go to a luthier or tech at your local music store or guitar center. I’m absolutely buying another on my next build.

I've installed this neck on a Squire jazz bass that had a mangled neck.It arrived unfinished (as expected, I preferred to finish it myself), but smooth and with no sharp frets, it looks very good.I had to do some sanding to fit it in the body. replaced the standard plastic nut with a Black Tusq XL for better performance, it's a great upgrade to and bass). The thrust rod behaves very well in the setup process though the access hole is a bit snug. The machine head's holes were a bit wide for the hardware I have but it was easily solved using extra large washers (I like the industrial look).I finished it using boiled linseed oil and treated it to an extra smooth finish, I made it extremely fast and after fret leveling, I made the action very low with no buzz and it's a joy to play, I can't lay my hands off of it.This is a great neck for luthiers and do-it-yourselfers, every neck requires different setup procedures to operate at its best, and with a little grease elbow, this one shines.
