The plastic that this pitcher is made of, is the stuff of years ago good plastic. This pitcher will last numerous years. All the measurements that 99% of Americans use is on one side or the other, all clearly marked. I would definitely recommend this Thang to anyone needing a gallon pitcher.

I was a little hesitant to pay the extra for this jug but it is definitely worth it. It is finished nicely with no sharp edges unlike all of the cheap stuff that's available elsewhere, and the handle is rounded and made for human hands too.I have the four litre (which is big) and use it for aquarium water changes. The plastic is thick enough that it doesn't deform in any way in use, which is actually pretty remarkable in this day and age especially when you consider that's 4kg of water. I've been using it once a week for 2.5 months now.If you want an excellent (big) jug and you want something that works, doesn't injure you, doesn't break and is a kind of pleasure to use, buy it - you won't regret it.
