i am in love, its light weight, looks so classy, it is heat resistant and has been doing ok in the transfer from cold to heat with out exploding, it has the capacity i was looking for and is not to bulky, i wish i could find coffee mugs like this

This is just a beaker with a handle and a wide base. I use it to microwave about 9 ounces of water, which I then pour into my OXO Single Serve coffee funnel. I'm sure it would also work well with the more common "hipster" method of pour-over.The measuring marks are accurate enough for coffee. Because of the beaker's shape and relatively thin glass, I wouldn't use it as a general-purpose measuring cup.
