We had a fencing project to protect some small fruit trees from the deer ( third try's the charm, right? ) Once the trees get big enough, they seem to survive ok, but the small ones are just snacked down to a stick. We made the new fence more robust than the first one and this tool made twisting the fence ties quick and easy. Convenient to use with a cordless drill. We almost got a second one so we could work at the same time, but the project was done so quickly that it wasn't needed. We sacrificed a few ties to the learning process but it wasn't very difficult to get it sorted out. The ties turn out great - nice and tight and the ends look professional. Much nicer than using pliers.

I'm using this in ham radio to make baluns and transformers that need a segment of twisted wire. This makes quick work of twisting the wires and they come out great.

It works about 60% of the time. The tie has to be in the chuck tool just right and it has to twist very, very slowly. Too fast, or the ends are wrong and it will twist once and let go. Wish I would have went with a little better brand.
