If you just want to avoid using actual ice in regular sized drinking glasses they're great. However they don't last more than 30m or so when frozen at room temp, never mind when it gets extra hot. Ours got relegated to bath toys and temp cool licks for our puppy. They didn't survive her, I won't be ordering any more.

They don't stay froze long. I have a different reusable type that stays froze a long time. It must have some other liquid mixed with the water. These seem to only be water in them....they melt quicker.

Just pop a couple of these in your drink and it cools it right down without watering it down. They say they’re dishwasher safe, but I don’t know if they could handle repeated dishwashing.

These do not get your water ice cold like ice cubes. They warm pretty quickly. After putting 8 in a water bottle, I will go back to regular ice.

These keep my water bottle cold all day at work even in the middle of summer.

I use these because the ice maker in my freezer stopped working. These rods are a good substitute to open trays of ice cubes, which can spill before they freeze and then pick up off tastes from the rest of the freezer. I put these in the bin where the ice cubes would have collected and they freeze quickly. I like their shape as they work well in tall thin glasses where ice cubes get in the way. They sink about 70% in liquid so their shape does a good job of exposing the frozen material inside to the drink. They don't dilute the drink as they melt. It's easy to clean and refreeze them. If I had to find a knock, its that they don't melt that fast when placed in a drink, which means they aren't chilling the drink as quickly as might be optimal. On the upside they keep drinks cool/cold longer than naked ice cubes, though the drink doesn't get as cold as with naked ice. Overall I am please with these and use them every day. They are a good alternative to making ice cubes in trays.
