Complete waste. My faucet is off in the 6 o'clock position normally. With this cartridge the water would run full blast at 6 o'clock then shut off at about 4 o'clock then if you kept turning counterclockwise (on) it would then start again at 3 o'clock then shut off again at 12 then back on again at 9 (full hot position normally) Just a complete no go, and yes it was installed properly just as the original one came out. I ended up just replacing the o-rings on my original Moen one that I just pulled out and now all is fine. Don't waste your time on this one, just get an actual Moen brand or rebuild kit.

We tried and tried to get this into our shower valve. It just would not seat properly. We finally gave up and went to Home Depot to buy the actual Moen part, and easy peasy, seated properly in a couple of minutes, while we wasted not only the cost of this item, as the screw broke off inside of it trying to pull it back out, but at least an hour and a half of time. Buy the Moen part! We threw this one in the trash!
