1000BASE-SX Description
- The SFP transceivers are high performance, cost effective modules supporting data rate of 1.25Gbps and 550m transmission distance with MMF.
- The transceiver consists of three sections: a VSCEL laser transmitter, a PIN photodiode integrated with a trans-impedance preamplifier (TIA) and MCU control unit. All modules satisfy class I laser safety requirements.
- The transceivers are compatible with SFP Multi-Source Agreement and SFF-8472 digital diagnostics functions.

I had single mode fiber run in my building, but only had multi-mode transceivers. As soon as I plugged the GBIC into each end switch, I had a successful connection.

Didn't work in my Juniper EX4600. No error messages but couldn't get link to come up. Plugged in some from CDW and the link came right up.

Works great as an oem replacement in HP Procure and HPE Aruba switches. Just ensure your model numbers. This is NOT SFP+5/5 - would light up gigabit fiber again!
