I had been using component video connectors for my Wii for ages. The most frustrating thing about component video is how easy it is for one of the many connectors to be loose or corroded, and all of a sudden the color in your picture is way off. This connector plugged right into the console and right into the HDMI port. As far as I can tell, the picture is better now than it was before. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the adapter. For 14 bucks (at the time of writing), this was a huge problem solver. Just hoping it lasts!
