My introduction to the ball catch was a free one that came with a set of hinges that swing both ways. I immediately was in love with the idea and functionality of these. I ended up picking up this two pack to install on drawers, the easy ability to adjust the tension (just screwing the ball shaft in more deeply or out) makes these great for wooden things as we all know or learn over time that in most climates wood expands and contracts through weather changes. While I haven’t had the need to adjust any of mine yet, I take comfort in how easy it is to do. I had a cat open another door I have one of these on and I was able to just make the ball protrude a bit more and it totally slowed her roll. I’m a big fan of this style closure and you really can’t go wrong with this pair of balls. Good value for these as well.

Absolute garbage. They have no way of locking the adjustments in place so they move all over. The assembly fell apart inside the door making me have to take the door off and shake the pieces back out. It's just a bad design and not worth any amount of money.

Will be a great addition to my new air handler closet door when we get it installed soon. I wanted to use a dummy handle for ease, so these latches will keep the door closed and secure.

These small ball catches are well made and of quality materials. I’m installing them in a custom made Dutch door and they fit well and latch easily as well as securely. They weren’t quite firm enough at first, but since they’re adjustable using a screwdriver it was a fast job.The finish of both the brass and stainless steel pieces is smooth and bright. Everything works as it should and installation was simple with common household tools and the furnished screws. A great value.

These ball catch for top door worked out exactly as I wanted. I simply had to remove the existing ones, and insert these in place. Minor adjustments were needed, but that's normal as door closure variances. The catch works as normal when closing the door, keeps it shut, and simply easy to pull to open. I'm very pleased with these top of the door ball catch!

When we moved into our house, they had these on the pantry. Of course for one of the doors, they had taken the ball and bottom plate off and never replaced it. The ball isn't rolling around or anything inside the door. No idea why they didn't replace it.So now I replaced it and the door latches closed properly instead of bouncing. You need this in your life if you have a double-door pantry, or any other door with fixed handles.The material is good, appears to be stainless steel. The ball and receiver have some heft to them, don't feel like they'll break.

Very easy to install. I have a few magnetic kinds installed around the house but I really needed the ball kind because sometimes the magnets do not hold. I have 2 doors that need them. I swapped the magnets out and realize how much I like these more. They hold a little better than the magnetic kind. I suppose it's how you will use it but I honestly thing if this ball kind and the magnetic kinds were mixed together, they might work best. Over all, very good product. Holds doors in place and fairly quiet. Good product.
