These U-bracket extensions are made of heavy galvanized iron, feel pretty sturdy, and were easy to assemble. I like that they’re adjustable to fit different downspout widths. However, because of the adjustable design, there’s a large bolt right in the center, which means your downspout won’t sit perfectly flush inside the bracket. That said, the kit does include zip ties to help secure everything in place. The brackets arrived packaged in a sturdy hard plastic box that protected all the pieces well during shipping.I do wish the stakes were a little longer. The stake portion is only about 5.25" long, and because it’s fairly thin, I personally wouldn't feel confident unless at least 3" of it was anchored in the ground. If you only need about a 2" lift, these should work great. But if you're looking for something to raise your spout higher or handle heavier loads, you might want to look for something with a taller or more robust design. Overall, it’s a good, well-made option for small drainage adjustments, just be mindful of the height and fit.
