The gaskets were a bit undersized and kept slipping out of the valve cover groove. This was remedied by using a heat gun to expand the gasket so as to stay in the valve cover. After doing that it was fine.

Shape is correct, thickness seems correct, but gasket is way too big. No way to make it work on an FD501V or the other models if they use the same valve cover.
