If you're looking at this to use on your headlights instead of those overpriced kits then you're heading in the right direction. Unlike the overpriced kits, this kit will give you enough to restore the headlights on 15 cars. You can wet sand with these and the disc's last 3x longer. The only thing you need that's doesn't come with this is the clear coat. Don't give anymore money to the overpriced kit suppliers.

The cloth backing tends to rip and especially if when it's wet. Otherwise it's been good enough for the job. Polishing some chrome currently.

I have 5 cars to manage in the family with 2 kids at college. Often, I am amazed at how some of the headlights fade or yellow over the years due to neglect or constant exposure to our Texas sun. So, I have restored all the vehicles by using some elbow grease and this type of product to refinish the faded plastic and allow more light for enhanced and safer driving. In the past, I have purchased the kits from other vendors, but the cost and the amount of supplies you get is quickly used up...especially if you are looking to do multiple headlights. These Revetol materials is a great value and you get all of this for the same price as 1 of the kits. This does not include the polishing compound or the UV protectant finish, but again, the quality and price of this is excellent for refinishing your headlights and is much cheaper even with purchasing the UV and polish separately.

This set comes with a large number of sanding sheets and pads, and a choice of mandrels. I used one that fit into my cordless drill, and used the highest RPM setting to get satisfactory results sanding some forge scale from a steel project. A slower geared drill motor may not work so well. This set would be more suitable for medium or small projects owing to the 3" sanding disc size. For larger projects, you'll want larger sheets. I am going to try using this next to polish out oxidation on some headlights.
