These plugs are much smaller than a power strip and you can plug in three grounded plugs or power adapters to one outlet socket. There is an outlet port on the front, the left side, and the right side of the block, and the outlet ports are oriented with the ground plug to the left of the prongs on all three sides. I like that there isn't a port on the top or bottom of the cube so it doesn't block the other outlet port on a duplex receptacle. Since all the outlets are sideways and they are all oriented in the same direction, the outlet on the left has room for a regular plug while the outlets on the front and the right side can accommodate larger bottom-heavy adapters, without blocking the other outlets. I think that's pretty impressive for such a small outlet extender. I have another 3 plug extender, but the outlets are side by side, and it's larger than this and can't accommodate as many types of power adapters. Note that some adapters might fall out of these blocks if they can't hang securely while plugged in sideways. You also need more space to the sides to accommodate the plugs. I plugged one of these in next to my piano where the old side-by-side 3 outlet extender was plugged in, and I can't use the plug on the left of this block because it's too close to the piano. However, it looks much tidier than my old configuration, and I haven't effectively lost any outlets, because the others were too close together to fit any modern adapters. I also like that this is UL listed.

The DERSUR 3 Outlet Power Outlet Extender (two) had me at their “UL listing.” However, the DERSUR adapter is NOT a polarized plug. The DERSUR adapter is a “non-polarized plug” -- one with the paired prongs of the same size. I was initially concerned but my research suggests that the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) does verify both polarized and non-polarized plugs. I am now assuming that the UL listing label on this product is valid and therefore ensures that the DERSUR plugs meet UL safety standards.The DERSUR plugs are rated as NEMA 5-15, meaning that they are good to go for fifteen amps and 125 volts – standard for most household applications. I am giving them my version of a UL certification by granting the outlet plugs five stars.
