As a casual hobby, we wanted a way to better succeed at our first enthusiast foray at growing lion’s mane and thought this still air box would allow us an advantage. We have a small nylon bulkhead placed and it seems to hold well, with the addition of ozone being the next step. Even if our first foray ends in disappointment, we’re happy that the box collapses into a thin profile so we can store it away and give it another go.

Once set up, contact less manipulation through gloves is neat.Just holds moisture and prevents air contamination or spores getting everywhere.Fulfills its role. You can add bulkhead fittings for other uses as necessary.Happy with it.

This is absolutely perfect for working on your mycology or anything that needs still air. Keep in mind still air does NOT mean sterile. I would suggest you get an ozone producing bulb to put inside to zap anything that might contaminate your stuff. Still air just means that there won’t be any errant contamination blowing around, but any contamination that could possibly still be on bags or jars or whatever, can and WILL still ruin your stuff if you don’t properly sterilize everything inside of it, but, do that, and this is perfect.

I'm returning this. It seems to be intelligently put together and practical for growing mushrooms without infecting the spores, but it's bulky and a bit flimsy, so it needs to be stored when not in use. Although there were instructions on how to fold it back up, they weren't clear and I couldn't do it and gave up

Good-sized still air box for maintaining sterile conditions. Much easier to see through than a plastic tote and no sharp edges to dig into your arms. I'm a complete noob at growing mushrooms so I don't have a solid technique or work-flow. Once I get a chance to try some grows and have some experience, I'll update this review if I feel it warrants revisiting. Certainly easier to have around than a laminar flow hood. Folding it up is a bit of a challenge.

Hi, this review is of the Tmovjxv 35.5"x23.5"x23.5" Still Air Box Mycology -Mushroom Growing Container -Portable Grow Box Mushrooms -Pop up Mushroom Grow Tent Kit for Spores Horticulture Supplies.I ordered this mushroom growing tent because I've been on a doctor-prescribed diet that requires me to eat a lot of fresh organic mushrooms. That gets expensive, at least for me.I've ordered organic mushrooms and they've tasted fine, and I've done pretty well eating them. Of course, I want to do much better health wise! Feel better. Think more clearly, etc.Anyway, here in my state of California, even though some products are labeled as organic they're not truly organic. They only have "be" organic at certain steps of the growing process and not for the entire process to qualify. Leave it to politicians to mess up science and they'll do it virtually every time for their own gain.My point is no matter your politics you can be assured that you're getting the best of the best crops by growing your own.I've chosen to grow mostly hydroponically, but sometimes it's "better" to grow some things in soil. A problem that arises are natural ways of keeping insects from eating your crops. Ladybugs, praying mantises, etc. are good choices but are not perfect. Often one has to plant some things to attract the good insects to eat the bad ones: aphids suck.And, yes, you can even buy ladybugs at many garden stores.Upon inspection the Tmovjxv grow box seems to be well made and I'm looking forward to using it!Unfortunately, I just got some news that we need to move, and I won't be able to get this set up to grow mushrooms anytime soon. Bummer. :(I'll do my best to come back after I get it set up and producing mushrooms.For now, I do give it 4.5 stars after inspection for the price verses value.When I was doing my research, I found similar items in this price range, and slightly larger boxes over $100. So, I think I'm pretty close on the value.Again, I'll do my best to come back and update this review after I get the grow box set up and producing.
