Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review.This is a nice starter kit for anyone wanting to try their hand at growing mushrooms. The whole thing reminds me of the tinker toys I played with as a kid. You have plastic sticks and connectors to make the frame for the box and then a nice plastic enclosure that fits over it all like a greenhouse. The included light and hygrometer/thermometer are about the quality I would use in my high school science lab. The kit also has openings for gloved hands to help give easier access while reducing some of the contamination risks. Is it perfect, no but at this price point it is a pretty amazing starter kit. More rigid still-air, glove boxes can be found but at massively higher cost. This is the perfect kit to try out a bit of mushroom growing and because of its construction, the kind I would prefer in my classroom because it can take up less space when not in use.

It’s an engaging hobby kit, though more advanced growers may want something larger or more customizable.

I like that this creates a sealed environment because mushroom spores are no joke.This is a great sized mushroom growing box to start with. It is really easy to set up and well designed. The price is decent too - it's going to save you money since you can grow mushrooms on your own and don't need to pay store prices for them. There are many places you can get spores so once you select your variety you're set.

Disappointing in person. The online product photos made this look much sturdier and higher quality, but it’s basically just a clear plastic “bag” or cover that you drape over the frame. For the price, I had hoped this would be better quality than it is. Kind of flimsy. That said, assembly was easy to figure out and came together pretty fast. I’m new to growing mushrooms, so I guess this is a good test kit.

So So beginner. unit obviously for the financially minded. The led, is a led. that's about all I can say. Would hope its was something a little nicer for the price but I guess its everyone hopping on the micro bandwagon trying to make a buck. .Save your money buy something nicer that will last.

This mushroom still air kit goes together fairly easily. The instructions make frame assembly simple in about ten minutes. Getting the cover onto the frame is not as easy. I had a difficult time getting it far enough to pull the zipper that closes the end and I tore the clear material loose in one corner (my fault), but know that the clear plastic is somewhat fragile. I know this is designed for growing mushrooms, but I graft coffee trees and this is a 100% humidity chamber for those grafted trees, making it easy to see them and check progress. The supplemental light is useful also. It took about 30 minutes to complete assembly and it looks pretty good when finished.

This is the new and greatly improved still air box its the best I have ever used they have finly redesigned the box for easy to see whst you are doing without the pesky bar right in front of your face if anyone has ever used one of these knows its hard to see what your doing all the time with then old designs I like this one so much I will only use my older ones to grow in and I use this one for my work because it is so much better and easier to use
