They are well made and look like they will hold up long term. I'm using them to keep a roller shade from blowing up in the wind. The ability to adjust them comes in really handy in this application.

Just note, you need to pull the cord so that it's diameter is smaller before trying to put it in the adjuster. Works like a charm!
