The light is bright enough for encounters within 10 feet, but is far too dim for any practical use. The colors cycle each time you turn it on, with no way to hold a single color. This product would serve well enough on airsoft, but should not be relied upon for much else.

I had some reservations about this light primarily because of the zoomable head. A sliding head that cannot lock is going to slide back with recoil. So if you zoom in that works but then take a shot and you're all the way zoomed out. The light patter also changes from a decent circle to a ragged diamond shape as it zooms in. The controls on the light aren't great either. If you use the tailcap, you have to cycle through colors to get the one you want. However, if you us the remote, it only goes to white (this is better) unless you double click to cycle to colors. It does not have a memory so if you want a color other than white, you'll have to cycle through other colors.The pic mount is ok but the barrel mount is gigantic. It is too big for it to be useful to me.

This flashlight has a zoomable light. If you have never seen this feature in a flashlight, trust me-- it is nice. By physically sliding out and sliding in the end of the flashlight an inch or two, you change the light from a wide-angle beam to a narrow beam. As a wide-angle beam, it floods an entire room with light. As a narrow beam, the concentrated/focused light illuminates a smaller area at a much farther distance. This makes it a great emergency light. When the power is out, this flashlight illuminates a much larger area than a conventional flashlight.This is marketed as a hunting flashlight. Accordingly, it has two mounting systems with which one affixes the light to a firearm are stout and well-made. I have seen flimsy mounts, but these look robust.The light comes with two large rechargeable batteries and the recharger. It also comes with a battery cage that will hold several AAA batteries in place. Three power systems is nice.The storage box is rugged.While this is marketed as a hunting flashlight, it works great as an emergency my-electricity-is-out flashlight.But I got this for my grandson. The multiple colors are too cool! With a slight touch of the on/off switch, the light cycles through three colors as well as a normal white light. The flashlight is small and lightweight, so he can handle it easily.This device is a much-needed iPhone killer. My grandson will drop his handheld electronic device, grab this flashlight, and head off to the woods for some real-life fun-and-discovery experiences.

This a super bright light and can alternate between white, red blue and green lights by simply depressing the control button. It comes with a handguard rail mount or a scope mount clamp if you prefer. Mounting closer to the gun frame is tactically a better choice than high up on the scope and the light has some weight to it, so bear that in mind when deciding placement. It comes with a pressure switch, but no adhesive, magnet or mount to secure it to the rifle so you'll need to figure that out on your own. Not as lightweight or compact as some gun lights but brighter than most and if your rig is lightweight and balanced this is a decent light.
