This tool does the job, but with significant drawbacks. While it removes and installs studs, it severely damages them in the process. Some of the studs ended up unusable after just one use. I believe there are better options available, so make sure to explore alternatives before purchasing this one.

This does not work as it is intended. I purchased this to remove and insert exhaust flange studs. I will say it DID remove the one I had started, at the expense of the threads. I tried to replace it with 2 different studs, both threads ruined no matter how slowly or gently I used it. ! So I learned by the 3rd one( Thankfully my pack came as a set of 6 and I only needed to replace 2) and started the nut first, THEN used this knowing I will never get the nut back off. This is NOT supposed to harm the threads. The first two tries I placed the socket all the way up and it destroyed the end threads preventing me from putting the nut on. Very disappointing.

have had a couple different styles of stud pullers and these may not be the strongest for seized they work excellent for medium to light force.

Maybe it works for longer studs, but the stud I had (an M6) about 1cm extended --tool would not grab it.

I had to remove two studs to replace a water pump on a 3.3 Toyota engine I tried double nutting and vice grips they wouldn't move, my only other option was unbolting the engine mounts and lifting the engine. Unfortunately the engine doesn't come out the top you have to drop the engine cradle and lower it out the bottom, nope. Found these on Amazon had them in two days and had the studs out in five minutes and they also installed the studs without damaging the threads too worked great. Only used the 8mm but I'm set if I need to remove studs the kit covers the most common sizes 6 to 12mm.
