After our last 16 hour power loss, we decided to get a temporary generator. I bought a tri-fuel model. My plumber added a natural gas line. I added this device to connect the generator to my service panel. There is an interlock on my service panel and the generator feeds through a 50 amp breaker that cannot be turned on unless the main 200 amp breakers is turned off. This is a very well-made device that came with a very well-made cord that connects my generator through this device into the service panel. One nice little feature is the little indicator light, which tells you that there is power in the device. If you need to connect a portable generator to your service panel and you need one that is 50 amp rated you can’t find any better than this and the price was right.

Well made cable with a pliable lay, given conductor size. The cable ends are made up with easy to grip plug and receptacle that mate smoothly. Wall box is easy to work in, plenty of room, weather tight, and the threaded lock for the cable keeps it attached without torquing the inner fixture. Comes with a cable holder for bundling up when not in service.

Everything looks to be well made. Using 6 gauge wire to run to my panel, so using 1" conduit to make it a big easier to route the rigid wiring through. The plug box only has 3/4" punch outs. So I will have to go get some 1" slip females to 3/4" threaded male adapters. Please add this in the product description. Other than that everything is great. Just wish I didn't have to go back to the hardware store, because I already had everything I should have needed.

I am using for a food truck so it is being removed often and so far, it still performs and looks brand new! The twist lock means no one accidentally unplugs it. Looks professional and performs great!

We have a small building like set up that we haul into the woodlots in our operations and use it for an office, base, lunch area. I had this kit used as the generator to "office" ingress and it worked perfectly. All the components are good quality with the cable being very heavy duty and the receptacle being stout.Good Stuff for whatever you needs may be.
