Okay, I love the weight of the product and the sleekness. However, I bought the 58mm for my 58mm porta filter and there is too much space between the edge of the porta filter and the tamper/leveler. I’m not sure if I was sent the wrong size but I am going to see about a return

This is a well-crafted, sturdy tool that will last a long time. It's definitely got some weight to it, but that's what you want in a high quality distrubutor/tamper to complete your espresso equipment. I love that it's dual purpose so you only need one tool to do multiple jobs. And for as high-quality as it is, the price is very fair.

I got the Utagstyle double sided tamper / distributor for my Breville espresso machine, and find that it works pretty well as a distributor, but not as well as a tamper in my experience.Pros:- The tamper and distributor depth are both adjustable, which allows for how deep you want the coffee set in the portafilter (for my Breville, that’s about a 7mm depth according to their tool)- It has an excellent heft, which allows it to sink into the portafilter nicely and feels secure when using itCons:- When using the distributor to even the coffee, there always is a small raised rim at the edge of the portafilter, which I end up having to manually adjust, so it’s not an exact fit for the 54mm portafilters- The tamper is a bit more awkward to use and does not seem to produce as perfect a drip as my Tamper with a handle

I use it everyday, I use it more than once a day because it is just so dang nice!It does it job, it serves its purpose, and it looks great while doing it.Heavy, sturdy, compact, and effective.A must have!Highly recommend!

Well, first impression is that this tool is very well made (SS) and feels heavy in your hands! Surfaces are really well machined and "mirror polished" so it will "slide" with the coffee ground surface and just its heavy weight and surface will do the work of distributing and compacting the coffee for good espresso. The adjusting ring and handle area are a nice touch and looks quality made. Really, is impressive the quality of this tool. You can adjust/set the “depth” for your particular portafilter and the preference of compact coffee ground, and then tight the ring and you’re set. The only "cons" that I want to mention is that it should come with instructions for how to set up your “tamping depth” in the tool. Most of potential customers will be lost probably without instructions.(++) It is priced competitive as other similar tools and high grade material and manufacture made.(-) No manual/instructions included.Overall it is a great and well-made tool to have if you want to increase your “barista level”.(Reviewed by Handyman)
