Ho acquistato questo knock box e dopo averlo utilizzato quotidianamente, posso affermare che è diventato un elemento essenziale nella mia routine del caffè. Il design compatto si integra perfettamente accanto alla mia macchina espresso, rendendo tutto più organizzato ed efficiente.La costruzione è solida e resistente, realizzata in plastica ABS resistente,. Using a 58mm portafilter and 18g pucks. Wanted something small but not too small. The picture is the box with 4 pucks in it. Could probably put 2 more before they reach the bar. The bar just sits on the box and held by friction. I was worried the bar might hop out when I hit it with the portafilter but it stayed in really well.Being able to lift the bar out was really nice. Lift it out, rinse and wipe it down. Knock the pucks out of the box and into a compost bin was super easy. Rinse out the box and wipe it down. Really easy to clean with the bar removed.

When emptying your portafilter, this is a much better option than knocking it on the edge of the trash can. There's enough buoyancy to make it seem far less harsh to empty the grounds out with this. The one thing I do wish is that the side and rear walls were a bit high, or that the horizontal bar were a bit further down. It often sends droplets over the edges; but that's wiped up easily enough.Empty this into the trash can (or use as for composting) every evening, wash out, and you're good to go!

I was growing tired of throwing my coffee disks to the trash and make a mess out of it every time I wanted an espresso... also when you need to hit the arm well, I hated the idea of hitting it against the trash bin, so unsanitary. I made a small look up on amazon to see options and I’m happy I went with this small fellow, its a good size, good price and its very easy to clean. I was worried it may break after a while but is pretty sturdy! Had it for more than a month now and looks like new(:

I had never used a knock box before for making espressos, I had always just cleaned it out by hand over the trash. I find this one of the most useful tools in my kitchen for helping clean out the filter cups after brewing a cup of coffee. It makes the process quick, simple and I can press several shots of espresso in quick order. The knock box is extremely sturdy, able to handle quite hard hits, and has enough volume for an entire mormorning of fairly heavy espresso making. I have only had it for six weeks, but greatly appreciate the overall design and quality of construction. Initially I thought that it's plastic construction would not be sturdy enough, but I find that not to be the case. I also care considered the cost quite reasonable considered the quality of the product during the heavy use that I have made of it in the last 6 weeks.

Love this so much that i just bought a second one for a gift. The knocking bar and bucket are very sturdy. Doesn't make a loud clanking sound when you knock the portafilter on it like some do. Doesn't move around on the counter when knocking. Holds about 8-10 doppio-sized knocks before needing to be emptied. Very easy to clean as bar comes out easily (but is stays in place when knocking). I don't understand the negative reviews for this that say it is too small. It works beautifully with our portafilter. You just need to aim for hitting near the top of the portafilter. If you have soupy grounds maybe it would be an issue (but you have other issues if that is the case).

Though it's plastic, it's sturdy plastic. The ability to beat on it with your tamper to get out the pucks of coffee can't be underestimated on this. The coffee puck goes straight down and because the bar is round, nothing sticks (and you can either rotate it, or shake the knock box).When it comes time to dump the grounds (I use a plastic bag) you can easily remove the center bar and simply "turn and dump" it for gardening.Low key, inexpensive, sturdy and does exactly what you need it to do - a perfect product!As an aside, if your puck is too watery, you may be running too fine. If it's too solid (hard to remove) then you're going the other way with too coarse. The happy medium is going to be a puck that comes out in one piece, little remaining in the portafilter. To help, I switch over to steaming and then back to dumping the puck after drawing my shot. Wait too long, and the heat from the espresso machine dries things out and then I'm scrubbing (and I'm scrubbing if I'm forgetting!)
