I hand to make it work for my lawnmower. It was to long so I cut the tab that connects to the handle. I cut the end that connects to the handle on the lawn more and and I pushed the wire through my lawnmowers old plastic sleeve starting at the motor and hooked up the motor end first. Then I hooked the tab that I cut off to the handle and I bought a aluminum crimp connector to splice the ends together at the handle. Just have to keep a little slack in the wire so it doesn't snap when you pull the safety start handle.
