We've ordered this. before. However, this last order was horrible. Chunks of foam missing and not even cut correctly. Returning now. If you dont mind the chunks missing, go ahead and get it.

Polystyrene balls missing on edges, which was noticeable under fondant. Ordered last minute (my fault) so didn't have time to send back for refund/replacement, and it was not a returnless refund.Much better quality dummies in other shops, don't order this one!

Durable and well-made 8” cake dummy! It’s perfect for practicing cake decorating or creating display cakes. The circle dummy was round but not flush. It had a large bump where I would say machine stopped and it had left over styrofoam that needed shaved off. I had to use it for a wedding didn't have choice

I bought 2 to use inside my outdoor Grecian style urns. Helps to keep my faux flowers in place. They arrived in perfect condition. I ordered 2 more to use in my Christmas village. One arrived with the edging missing pieces of styrofoam. I will have to return the damaged one because I need the edges will be exposed and need them smooth. I guess I was lucky with the first 2 ordered. Considering cake decorators use these for faux cakes, I am shocked that Amazon is sending these out in poor condition.

Dummies were not the full 8", not sure why. Neither dummy was wrapped with any covering and the finish around the side edges was poorly done and misshapen from the original cutting. If I hadn't needed them, I would have returned them.

Fairly smooth outer finish bar one ridge where it was cut, hidden with icing and fondant so not an issue for me
