No chain is perfect these days, when almost anyone has a grinder, but this is more heavy duty than I expected. The square links will make it harder to use a bolt cutter, but this won’t stop a determined thief. I could stop an opportunistic one though. The wrap is nice to provide some protection to your item. I’m going to use this to keep ladders and such from walking off the job site. The bag is handy for storage.

Seems very sturdy and might be great for it's original intention. I ordered them to use as weights to carry while I walk. I love the bag and you can carry them around and do various exercises while out for a walk. I don't know the quality and the durability of the steel but they seem ok for my purposes. Good luck.

In all fairness, this chain is good. It's square linked to make it harder for bolt cutters, although hydraulic cutters will go through this. Any angle or die cutting wheel will go through this. A torch or plasma cutter will make short work of this too. But in reality, there is only so much you can do against a prepared thief. I have a lot of experience with hardened chains and locks. The top brands of security chains will be Pewag and ABUS but they will cost more. I'd say that this is a fair price for what you get. The length is 10ft and that's actually the selling point for this. Most security chains, unless you get custom lengths, will be shorter than this. Yes, it is heavy so I don't see many people taking this on their bike/motorcycle. But if you need something locked up around your place, this could fit the bill. I am using it to hold trailer wheels together right now.

This security chain is strong and thick, giving me confidence that my motorcycle is well-secured. I love the cloth cover, as it prevents scratches on my bike. Another great feature is the included storage bag, which makes it easy to keep everything organized when not in use.

This is a very heavy duty chain. I know there are heavier ones, but this is designed to be used as a security device. To lock something somewhere so the honest people remain honest. I plan to use it in the bed of my bed while towing the fifth wheel on the items in the bed. Bicycles, fuel jugs, etc. When not in use there, it will be used to secure the boat in the driveway. At least make it not easy to hook up and drive away with it. If vehicle theft is a problem where you park, this could be looped through a wheel (provided there are openings big enough) and locked to the vehicle frame. It will slow them down anyways. The chain is wrapped in a decent sock so it won't scratch paint of items it is looped through. I put the pen in the pictures to help you realize the size. It comes with a storage bag, too.

This is a big beefy and long chain that is heavy and strong. The cover is nice as the links are thick and each one is really heavy. I didn't think I would be into the small duffel bag, but since it is like 6ft or more, I came around quickly. This is the case where the lock/chain is very likely to be several times stronger than whatever you are locking it to.You could use it to pull an engine or tow a car in a pinch. Very heavy duty.

This review is for the MorningRo brand 8KS 10 Foot x 5/16 '' Square Security ChainThe links of the chain are smaller than the chains I have from OKG. I don’t know the hardness, but a metal file wouldn’t scratch the links. The sleeve is nice and will offer a good amount of protection from scratching up whatever you are trying to protect. It comes with a generic bag. The bag is double the size it needs to be. You’ll have to decide if that is good or bad, but it is sturdy bag at least.Given the price, I did not expect to like the chain as much as I do. It isn’t as refined as products costing twice as much, but it is still a great value for a stout, 10ft chain. I don't think the chains that cost double offer twice as much protection. A determined thief can defeat any chain, but this will stop a casual thief for sure.

We use this chain to secure generators and solar panels during extended beach clean-up operations, where the gear stays out for days at a time. So far, it's held up well in the salty air and constant humidity—two things that tend to wear down equipment pretty fast. The chain is definitely heavy-duty. It’s thick, not something someone’s going to cut through quickly without serious effort and noise. It comes with a black bag, which helps with transport, though I wouldn’t call it compact. That said, I’d rather deal with a heavy chain than a stolen generator. No rust showing yet after multiple trips to the coast, and no signs of wear on the protective sleeve either. Solid piece of gear for securing high-value items when you’re away from civilization.
