This is not compatible with an Astro a50 headset despite the claims of the this product.

Nice simple product and does exactly as advertised. works as a replacement for that go between cord to the xbox controller. Honestly prefer it to the bundled cable for my a40 as it has a volume and a mute. Kinda miss simple wheel volume knobs. this has one. Not bad, only wish it was fabric braided. Would worry about shorts over time.

I've had these headphones for 2 years now and I've had to replace the OEM cables twice so far. The mute button/slider ends up wearing out after a year. Not sure how this will last in comparison, but for the price it's worth trying.
