This design is no good, all the weight is relying on the small 1/4 inch Aluminum machined lips not shearing off. The lock pin is useless if the lips shear off. This is supposed to be rated for “21,500lbs”but I doubt it can do 8,000lbs safely. We tow about 12,000 and it’s already starting to fail after about two weeks of use.

Seems to be well made it rattles a bit just pick up a few plastic shims and Home Depot time will tell how it preforms

I own an older Jeep Wrangler. It's my toy, one of my favorite things, and I'm always acquiring upgrades. It has a nice hitch, one that I can suspend the Jeep from, and as I'm looking to get a trailer soon I wanted a good hitch receiver. I wanted something with a lot of adjustability and options, so when I saw this I had to try it.It arrived in a nice box and contains all of the pieces shown in the add. Everything was well-padded and arrived in near-mint condition.This is a really nice trailer hitch receiver! The adjustability options are insane, which given that my Jeep is lifted on big mud tires I wanted to be sure I could accommodate the height using the receiver. This thing is built to survive explosions. The fit and finish are excellent, especially for something that's going to take so much abuse.Overall I'm thrilled with this hitch receiver. It's going to make it easier to find a trailer that will work for my setup, and darn it looks sharp!

Very impressed with this product. The height adjustment is simple to use and compared to some other trailer hitches, this one is compact and very sleek in appearance. It is a well made product. On top of all that, the locking pin is longer than your standard size which is exactly what I needed! Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

This is a great hitch set that provides good versatility. I recently got a new truck and my previous hitch set which had two shafts, 3 balls, a regular pin and a locking pin, stayed with my old truck (which is now my son's), so I needed a new hitch for my truck. This is a great option and is really solid and well built. The shaft, which is L shaped, fits perfectly in my 2" receiver and has two different holes you can use for the pin to make is closer to or further from the truck itself. That, coupled with the 2" to 2 1/2" adapter for use with larger receivers means this will fit pretty much any truck I've seen.This also comes with two, already attached balls - 2" and 2 5/16". I rarely use a 2 5/16" ball, but I have needed it on occasion and it's great to have that versatility without needing a separate hitch or having a loose ball rattling around where I'd have to carry wrenches to change it out. With this you just flip it over! The 2" ball will get the most use with the trailers I would be pulling. This also allows you to adjust the height of the balls to suit your needs, which is a great option.The unit is thick aluminum (except for the SS balls), so it will stand up to the weather (no rust) and can pull some pretty heavy loads. You can adjust the ball height by pulling out the release pin and sliding them up or down - until I got this I was a bit concerned about how well that pin hold but now that I have it I don't forsee any issues at all - when it is locked in place it is there!The only thing with this I'm not a fan of is the locking pin that goes through the receiver. The lock/key is a bit unusual, kind of a flat arc key that took me a minute to figure out, but it works well and has a nice plastic cap that covers it up for protection. However, given that this whole set is adaptable to a 2.5" receiver and I am using a 2", the pin lock has got a decent amount exposed allowing it to slide back and forth. This came with only one small rubber o-ring - past locks like this that I've had use two o-rings to help the pin fit tighter and prevent it from rattling around, and you'd need a dozen of them to take up the slack on this pin lock for a 2" receiver. So, that might get replaced and I'll see if someone I know has a 2.5" receiver and donate the lock to them. Overall, though, definitely 5-stars!!
