These metal coolant Y-Pipes are a great upgrade if your Jaguar V6 or V8 is getting up in age / mileage. We installed these on the Supercharger V6 (AJ126) FType as the engine was removed for servicing purposes.Be warned, this job is not simple and at best, can be completed in maybe 2-4hours, depending on the condition of all the components which need to be removed to gain access to the Y-pipe which sits under the supercharger, in the V of the engine.Comments on the quality. The casting was rough on the inside of the coolant pipes where the two are joined. This may put stress on the oring as it is not sealing against a smooth surface. We sanded the surface down and did our best to smooth it out. So far, no leaks to report!With these coolant pipes installed and about 5k miles of driving later, we have not experienced any issues with the pipes. These definitely give us a piece of mind regarding the famous “cracking plastic Y-Pipe” which Jaguars have been plagued with for the past decade.If your car is due for a service or you’d like to rest easy knowing that the coolant Y-pipe will never leave you stranded, this is a great option!
